Malaysia Airlines plane with 298 on board crashes in Ukraine -- after allegedly being shot down

A Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 plane has reportedly crashed in Ukraine near Russian border.
According to The Star, 280 passengers, 15 crew members and three infants are all feared dead on flight MH17 flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
The plane was reportedly "shot down" by a missile while it was cruising at an altitude of 30,000ft. , according to sources.
MAS tweeted that "MAS has lost contact with MH17 from Amsterdam. The last known position was over Ukraine airspace."
This comes after the controversial MH370 mystery just four months ago, where the Malaysia Airlines plane lost contact with ground on March 8 shortly after taking off from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
